So I have just completed a whirl wind couple of months doing my first craft shows in my new home turf, and they were outstanding. Each one had it own flavor and flair and all were successful for me. There are so many new friends and vendors to list here so stay tuned I will be featuring some of my faves in the coming weeks. The great team at Ghetto Gloss are still hosting shows each weekend so if you get a chance check them out in Silverlake. I just finished the Bust Craftacular which was fabulous tons of great stuff and people to chat with. If you want to check out who was there just go to the Bust magazine website and check out the LA craftacular vendor list list and shop till you drop, I know I did. I didn't even get to watch my SNL, and had to stop my fam on the east coast from ruining it as we chatted after the Craftacular so for those of you who missed it here is my new favorite song.

Give great face
So I must also tell you all about how great my skin has been for the the past month. I must attribute it to my own products (surprise surprise) I have been using the Earth Face scrub at least twice a week and a lotion I made very similar to the Balance lotion.. So the lesson for this month is exfoliate, exfoliate. Even in the not so dry areas like my home state of FL, we all need to rub away the dead skin that our face produces, if not we get rough patches, black heads and the horror of all horrors pimples.
My Sister will be enjoying her own tub of Earth scrub soon, I made sure it was big enough to share with my Mom since they are in and out of each others medicine cabinet for products. And if you just can't splurge right now get some baking soda out of your freezer and wet it till it's a paste, massage that all over your face and rinse well. There is no excuse not to take care of our skin so if you can get yourself some scrub and a good lotion and clean your way to great skin.
xoxo

Upcoming events!
Well it has been a very busy October and November, I had a great first show at the Holiday Hotness Bazaar which inspired us to reach for more. I am happy to announce that we will be at two more shows for this holiday season, the Ghetto Gloss Art/Craft and Vintage fair on the 29th and 30th, and the super great Bust Craftacular on the 6th of December. Not only am I super excited for the upcoming shows but I will also be featuring products by my good friend Harvest Moon Soaps. Leigh makes shave soaps, bar soaps, lotion bars, and lip balms with great scents for guy and gal.
The next show with the ladies from Ghetto Gloss is in the beautiful area of Silverlake in Los Angeles. It has lots of great creative spots to explore and great old houses that I so wanted to live in when we got here. The next show with Bust Magazine ,one of my favorite publications will be in Downtown LA at the echoplex. I am so excited, so if you are in town be sure to check us out at one of the two shows.
Happy Holidays,

Checking in...
So it has been a while so let me catch you up...
I was part of a craft show (my first ever) it went very well for me and I met lots of great folks some of whom I only new as an email address until then. Great to put a name to an actual face, you all made me feel very welcome. Found a companion for sales and shows who will also be selling her products through Ritual Bath until her business is set up. It is great to have someone who is excited and interested as much as I am about bath products. We took a day off, then started applying to new shows the next one is in Silverlake with the boutique Ghetto Gloss on the 29th.
Went to the famous Roxy and saw a great show "Grace Potter and the Nocturnals" really enjoyed her and the guys, she will definitely be rocking my ipod. Then I got the plague (or just a bad cold at the same time as my toddler, you say tomatoes I say toematoes) and have only now begun to be aware of my surroundings. I swear there were elves that made all this mess, I can't believe I was that much of a slob for two days. =P
So I am back and getting better, stay tuned for more updates I have lots to talk about.
xoxo (opps maybe I should keep my germs to my self) ~WAVE~

Earth, and other things...
Well it is finally feeling like fall here in So-Cal, some of the leaves have changed colors. Though I know for some of you that are in northern climates are seeing some amazing colors, it is still more than this Florida girl is used to. Every where I look there a "fall festivals" or pumpkin patches around here, from the smallest pumpkin purveyor with a bounce house to the large farm set-ups that have corn mazes and all sorts of diversions. We even saw Becks and Posh at one such festival, entourage and all. It was great the guy running the carousel ran it twice for us and the misters kept us somewhat cooled off. We have been to about three or four so far and I gotta say it's nice to celebrate fall so much.
My bath products are just about labeled and ready for the show on November 8th, The Holiday Hotness Bazaar. The apothecary cabinet is full of products from large to small, everything for the gift giving season. Now I just need to remember to photograph it all for the websites so that anyone can pamper themselves. My happy accident from before has turned into "Earth" a sugar scrub. When I smell it I am transported to a lush, warm forest. Well I should go get to work labeling everything so I will sign off and get to work.
Check back later for photos of all my hard work.

Happy accidents and Holiday Hottness Bazare
We I am proud to announce that I will be participating the first annual Holiday Hotness Bazaar here in LA. Many hip local designers will be there selling their creations for the holiday season. What better way to spread your love to friends and family than to support local crafter's and artisans. Not to mention the feeling of knowing exactly where your products are coming from and attaching a person to that process. Hope you can make it if you are local!
So I have been preparing all my recipes for this sale and decided to adjust on of my recipes in one of my scrubs. Its a good recipe but it definitely changed the scrub so I have created a new item! The scrub is made primarily of sugar and some lovely nut oils, but the thing that changed it the most was the sea clay added to it. It has yet to be named but it is defiantly and earth mother creation, looks like earth and has a lovely herbaceous subtle scent. I just used it on my face (which is the ultimate sensitivity test for me) and my face feels like a baby's butt, perfectly conditioned and exfoliated. I can't wait to premier it at the show!
Going to jar my creations,

Urban and Suburban gardening: growing in your patio
So in O-town I guess because of the "seediness" of Lee Rd. some would call that area urban. It was great in some ways and not so great in others. I was able to tear up the entire front yard and put in an organic "yarden", but driving by the drug deals on the corner not so great. So when we moved we wanted a place where neither of us was worried about walking down the street, which landed us in subu
rbia (that wasn't the only reason though to be fair). While we don't have a yard we do have patios with walls, so you bet I have things growing.

While we don't have a yard we do have patios with walls, so you bet I have things growing.I almost missed the growing season out here but I seemed to have squeezed out a few summer veggies. I got a handful of black eye peas (didn't plant enough, I'll do better next year), One or two yellow crook neck squash, half a dozen under ripe tomatoes (kid needs to learn her colors, green growing, red ready) some lettuce, thyme, basil, stevia, and eggplant. You can see from the pictures there isn't that much ground but if you know what you want and it's growing habit it is just a matter of feeding and watering. Shallow roots get pots like window boxes so they can be mounted on the walls. Taller deep rooted plants like the eggplant or tomato
es go in the back against the wall so shorter plants like the squash and herbs can be in front. Climbers take center stage and help green up the walls. So if you have the desire but only a patio, with a little light and some creative planning you can eat home grown veggies.
